Hector G Romero
Hector G. Romero works with many mediums on both canvas and paper. Romero now lives in El Paso, Texas, where he is an Associate Professor at University of Texas, El Paso and at El Paso Community College. He received his BFA at UTEP and his MFA at UCLA, where he was an integral part of the band "The Charles Ray Experience" known for their eclectic sound collage work. He worked in Los Angeles or several years before relocating to Brooklyn, NY, and then Woodside, Queens where he was active as a bookseller and spent a decade and a half working in painting and drawing, developing a body of work that can be described as Urban Surrealism, heavily influenced by his New York City environment.
